This course will enable students to be eligible for endorsement as an entry-level midwife ac­cording to the internationally defined role of the midwife. Students will acquire the skills and knowledge to manage normal pregnancy and childbirth and provide effective postnatal maternal and newborn care in any maternity setting. Students will provide safe and reliable care that meets the individual psychological, emotional, physical, social and spiritual needs of mothers.
